I speak on two topics - presentations and leadership.

Confident presentations

Public speaking is a vital part of so many roles.

In this lively session, I introduce you to four questions that help you to rapidly plan authentic, persuasive presentations based on the principles in my bestselling book Presentation Now.

In the discussion afterwards, there’s plenty of time to ask questions about body language, nerves, visuals and Q&A.

Between one and two hours, this can be a perfect ‘lunch and learn’ session in your workplace, or a longer more interactive workshop for your meetup or conference. (If you’re looking for in-depth training, check out my one-day training programme or two-day masterclass here.)

Fees

If you’re running a paid conference, I expect (out of respect for all speakers there) an honorarium, and my travel/accommodation covered. (I’m based in Birmingham in UK.)

If your event is free for participants, I’m happy to discuss. If I’m able to organise other meetings in your town, or I really believe in what you’re doing, often I can make it work - so don’t feel awkward about inviting me to your thing if you’ve no budget.

Fast track to leadership wisdom

It’s tough to be able to look at the mess and complexity of the world and still take wise and timely action.

Research into adult development by Kegan, Torbert, Garvey-Berger and others has interesting implications for how we can develop this capacity for dynamic wisdom.

In this 45-minute talk, I share four simple but rarely-discussed practices that together, help leaders, thinkers and doers to evolve better instincts in the midst of these volatile uncertain times.

Turn up to this very interactive session with something you need perspective on and I’ll support you in processing it so you have more clarity on a way forward.

I’m an interdependent leadership coach and inclusive culture specialist.

I help senior leaders from a wide variety of sectors use reflection to gain greater capacity for practical wisdom.

I’m currently conducting interviews and research into how adults cross the boundary from independent outcome-focused leadership to interdependent culture-focused leadership, and how that transition is made in different ways by multiply-marginalised folks.

I also work with organisations to develop agile cultures which can sense and respond to the rapidly changing environment we’re living in.

I’m the author of Presentation Now, a WHSmith Business Book of the Month, published by Pearson.

I do this talk in-person or online

I not only value the opportunity to speak at formal conferences, but I also love coming to meet-ups. If you run a regular online something or you have a podcast, I’m happy to chat.

My fees depend on your event
